The physical treatment of the mineral oils of transformers provides for the recovery of the dielectric characteristics of the insulating fluids until obtaining values of voltage discharge higher than 50kV. The procedure is performed through a closed micro-filtration cycle, degassing and dehumidification using special machinery.
At its referral laboratory, MECA performs the physical, chemical and dielectric analysis of the insulating oil of transformers in order to monitor the degradation status of the machine and to identify any replacements and corrective actions.
The laboratory technicians of MECA test the presence of sediments or suspension substances in insulating oil, analyze their density and their viscosity, the dissipation factor, the voltage discharge, determine the content of P.C.B. and dissolved gases.
At the end of the investigation, MECA provides to perform all actions that are necessary to restore the dielectric characteristics of the oils and to keep power transformers in line with parameters of safety, reliability and efficiency.
