MECA performs interventions of maintenance and electrical or mechanical repair on transformers or other electrical equipment, from the replacement of damaged parts to the renovation of the electrical component.
The maintenance and repair interventions on transformers provide the following work phases:
- detailed inspection and survey of the insulating liquid leaks
- preliminary electrical tests
- complete drainage of the mass or of insulating oil and storage in suitable containers
- opening of the machine and control of windings, connection and ditching
- thorough cleaning of the active part and internal washing of the case
- drying in a ventilated oven at a controlled temperature of the active part (coils and core)
- supply and replacement of HV and LV insulators gaskets
- supply and replacement of the cover gasket
- supply of any topping up oil
- transformers assembly and replacement of worn bolts
- control and review of any other associated parts, protections and machine equipment (Buchholz, thermometers, levels)
- transformers assembly and filling in autoclave with the insulating oil
- physical treatment of the insulating oil
- exterior painting
Furthermore, over the years MECA has honed its techniques of on-site maintenance on electric transformers in medium and high voltage directly to the end user.
At the end of the review process the MECA technicians perform the acceptance tests again and issue a related report that proves the operation conformity of power transformers.
The technology and professionalism of MECA also allow the company to perform interventions of maintenance and repair of any other type of electro-mechanical equipment, such as:
- generators for wind turbines
- motors and generators with ongoing and alternating current
- traction motors for locomotives
- poles for traction motors
- brake motors
- gearmotors and vibrators
- electric pumps and submersible pumps
- brake coils and electromagnets
- rotating and static welders
